Captain’s Log - Stardate 13.03.2781 SCT
Elias James Braddath, Captain of the CTP Aggressor. Our Mission: to discover strange, new worlds; to push
the boundaries of known space; and to forever champion the cause of the Confederation of Terran Planets
– freedom, peace, and coexistence.
This fine crew will see the Aggressor on its Maiden Voyage to places heretofore unknown, through space
uncharted and routes uncertain. We’ll begin with a brief, diagnostic jump to the Venusian colonies, and with
all systems green, our real journey starts. The Kreuger Passage will be our first, true adventure, between
the deadly minefields of the Sarakh-Antarian conflict of 2532. Thereafter, we will investigate the rings of
Hadronus IV-A, a feat unthinkable in our fathers’ time. A few, brief stops in the Medusa Nebula, and finally,
our charter extends outside our known galaxy, into the deep black. Others might be nervous, but I have
supreme faith in this ship and her crew. Now we shall get underway, to make a journey for the record books.

The
Thrilling Adventures!
base game can
easily be adapted to play space-themed
adventures, given a few tweaks here and
blaster pistol additions there; but
Pulp In
Spaaace!
gives you new source material
and more space- and science fiction-specific
components, so you can make your space
adventures everything they should be.
To use this book, first read through it in its
entirety to get a feel for the genre. Then,
familiarize yourself with the starships, new
playbooks, and alien race playbook add-
ons, all of which will give the players more
options and provide for more narrative fun.
Finally, whether they’re lifted whole cloth
or simply provide inspiration, the included
Settings, Forces, and Villains are yours to
use as you see fit.
New Play Materials
Although all the other stuff makes for fantastic
science fiction, the heart of this book lies in the
new play materials. Included here are rules
for implementing starships into your game;
three new, space pulp-themed playbooks,
and six alien race playbook add-ons. And
to top it all off, a brand new, space-themed
Adventure Diary and word bank, so you
can really space-up your adventure!

What is Space Pulp?
Lasers and phasers; black holes and
wormholes; galactic conflicts; epic space
battles; shields up, photon torpedoes
away, ALL THE PEW PEW! Space pulp
is an enormous part of the science fiction
genre, and well it should be, for it features
the danger, excitement, and grand
entertainment we expect on the big-screen.
Whereas other subcategories of space sci-
fi may take a more nuanced approach –
investigating existential questions, dwelling
in the dark of the deep void, or marrying
the aberrant nature of space with the dread
of horror to create the truly horrific – space
pulp focuses on action and adventure!
Energy sword battles between master Space
Wizards? Space pulp. Blasting off to sectors
unknown for fame and glory? Space pulp.
Long-winded, unnecessary Imperial trade
negotiations? Eh…not so much. Space
Settings, Forces, Villains
The Settings, Forces, and Villains included
here are inspired by the myriad tropes
available in existing space science fiction
stories. You may find echoes of TV shows,
movies, and even comic books that have
boldly gone before to chart this well-traveled
sector. Go ahead and change them around
all you like – switch out names, planets,
motives, whatever you need to make them
fit your vision – or simply use them as-is
when you need a quick Setting because
the players have made a terrible error and
jumped into places unknown!
