Welcome to the 2024 issue of
SNARL,
the official ‘zine of Snarling
Badger Studios. We hope you had a
great year. Vince and I had a pretty
good one - we even got to attend Gen
Con and hang out (see photo above.)
In this issue of
SNARL,
we’ve brought
you a fun, new, fighty game of goblin
conflict - great for two to four players
and young and old alike. It’s called
The Great Goblin Argle-Bargle
and it
pits your crew of goblins against your
opponent’s in silly goblin combat.
You gain and lose goblins through
fighting, shenanigans, and some-
times they just wander off. Can you
become the Greatest Goblin?
Also in this issue, three new add-ons
for some of our previous games:
in
Deth Wizards: Fresh Creations,
you’ll find a new selection of Undead

Minions to add to your Necromantic
forces and bolster your power.
In
MAJESTIC 13: New Gear Drop,
you
get access to all kinds of new pieces
of equipment to help your team
fight back against the alien menace
threatening the people of Earth.
And in
Reign in Hell: The Broken Door,
your demon cabal finds itself in the
fallen city of Javekx just after the
events of
The Oculus Spear.
Now it’s
time to travel to learn if the visions
of a new portal - and where it might
lead - are real or just another dead
end. Three new scenarios will tell the
story for your cabal and bring glory or
continued failure.
As always, we hope you enjoy this
new issue of SNARL – we had fun
making it.
Goblins come from far and wide. They search every
nook and cranny for more goblins. They fight and sing
and dance and die until, eventually, one goblin reigns
supreme:

You can never lose your Great Gob-
lin for any reason (including combat,
Defector rolls, etc.). If at any time your
tribe consists of only your Great Goblin,
you lose and your tribe is immediately
out of
The Great Goblin Argle-Bargle.
Stats
Each tribe in
The Great Goblin Argle-Bargle
has three stats: Movement, Offense, and
Defense, as described below. These are
the stats for your tribe, not individual
goblins.
Movement
This is how far your tribe can move in
inches. Each tribe has a base Movement
of 6. Each goblin in your tribe may
move independently, but each goblin
must end their move within 6” of your
Great Goblin.
Offense
The base Offense for your tribe is 5.
This sets your dice pool total when
making Offense attacks (i.e. you will
roll five dice, see Attacking, page 10).
This increases based on the number of
goblins in your tribe as below:
• If you have 6 or more goblins, you
gain 1 bonus dice to your pool total.
• If you have 12 or more goblins, you
gain 2 bonus dice to your pool total.
• If you have 18 or more goblins, you
gain 3 bonus dice to your pool total.
Your first step in
The Great Goblin Ar-
gle-Bargle
is to get your tribe of goblins
together. To create your tribe, simply
follow the steps below.
Assembling Your Tribe
All goblin tribes in
The Great Goblin
Argle-Bargle
begin play with 13 goblins.
They can be any type, as long as they
are on bases between 20mm and 32mm.
One of the goblins must be designated
the Great Goblin, the leader of your
tribe, who will play a key role later in
the game. To ensure easy recognition,
the Great Goblin should be visually
distinct from the other goblins.
