Introduction
ol System
offers an in-depth look at the home system of humanity, the Sol system—
Earth, Mars, the Belt, and the Outer Planets. This book takes the information provided
in
The Expanse
RPG core rulebook and expands it even further, providing players
with new stations to explore and organizations to interact with. You’ll also find a
wealth of new rules for players, including new equipment and technologies, augmenta-
tions, expanded rules for character origins, and creating and running your own organiza-
tion in
The Expanse.
The timeframe for this book is suitable for any era, although most of
the material presented here is based on the period from
Leviathan Wakes
to
Babylon’s
Ashes.
While not moving the setting era forward, Sol System provides a wealth of infor-
mation to greatly expand your new or existing
Expanse
campaign.

How to USe tHiS Book
wHat’S in tHiS Book
This book is designed with both players and GMs in mind. The first two chapters expand the existing
Expanse
universe with
new organizations and stations that include story hooks to aid GMs in creating a rich and vibrant universe. New locations
and adversaries can be especially handy if your players have memorized the novels, as much of the information here is
completely original. The new rules for players can have quite an impact on gameplay, so always remember that they are
intended to give you more choices, not to hem you in. Both the GM and the players should consider everything in this book
to be optional. Work together to decide what you want to use, and don’t worry about the rest.
Sol System
is divided into five chapters. The first sections greatly expand the established canon of the Sol system and offers
GMs and players more places and organizations to explore. The other sections presents a wealth of new rules that expand
character creation and offers new ways to play the
Expanse RPG,
including details on trade, piracy, and smuggling as well
as creating and operating organizations.
