Instructions
• Divide the class into pairs.
• Give a copy of Worksheet A to Student A and
Worksheet B to Student B in each pair. They should
not look at each other’s worksheets.
• Ask students to complete the information about
the children in the pictures. Explain that Student
A has the information that Student B needs and
vice versa.
• Elicit the three questions necessary to find out the
missing information for each square and write
them on the board:
What’s his/her name? How old
is he/she? Where is he/she from?
• In pairs, students ask and answer questions and
complete their grids. Remind them to spell the
names of the children to their partner if necessary.
Instructions
• Give a copy of the questionnaire to each student in
the class.
• Ask them to look at the pictures and write the
appropriate questions based on the example.
Check the questions with the whole class.
• Demonstrate the activity by asking individual
students the first question until somebody answers

Write this student’s name on your copy of
the questionnaire.
• Then ask students to walk round the classroom,
asking questions to find somebody in the class
for each of the feelings on the questionnaire,
preferably a different classmate for each question.
They write one student’s name opposite each
question. Set a time limit of 10 minutes for this
activity.
• Ask individual students to report their findings, eg
Mariola is hungry.

Instructions
• Divide students into groups of four and give one
set of cards to each group.
• Students first match the pictures with the words,
then separate them again and turn them face
down, spread out on the desk.
• Then they take turns in choosing and turning over
one word card and one picture card. If the two
cards match, the student who has chosen them can
keep them and play another round. If the cards do
not match, they are returned to the same place and
another student takes a turn.
• The game finishes when there are no cards left.
• The winner in each group is the person with most
cards.
Instructions
• Divide the class into pairs and give one worksheet
to each pair.
• Ask them to fold the page along the dotted line so
that they cannot see the box with the words.
• Explain that they are going to read William’s
project, but some words are missing because
William accidentally spilled water over his project.
• Ask students to read the project and discuss in pairs
which words they think are missing.
• When they have finished, ask them to unfold the
worksheet and look at the box under the text.
They should complete the gaps in the text with
the correct words from the box and check if their
previous guesses were right.
• Check the answers with the whole class.
