Lord Hedron Antioch broods in his twisted castle rising high over the
gloomy village of Skalvin. He was once a dashing explorer, renowned
for his expeditions into the lightless and cruel places of the earth. But it
was a fateful delve into the jungles of Tal-Yool in search of the legendary
Lost Empire that was his undoing. Not one living soul in the 40-person
expedition returned from that black, sweltering jungle. Lord Hedron — or
what remained of him — crept forth two years later under the cover of
night, thralls in tow, a box of rich grave dirt on their shoulders. This reeking,
ragged band paid their passage home in ancient gold, cloaks drawn tight
against the sun. The night the ship landed, the only thing found aboard
were the bodies of the crew, pale and bloodless...

Immune to morale checks. Only damaged by magical
sources.

Hedron heals 2d8 HP and target permanently loses 1d6 CON.
At 0 CON, target dies and rises as vampire or vampire spawn (Hedron
chooses).
Charm.
One humanoid target who can see Hedron within near, DC 15 CHA
or under Hedron’s control for 1d4 days.
Dire Shapechange.
In place of attacks, turn into a giant bat, dire wolf, or
back into regular form.
Heart of Darkness.
Hedron is the progeny of Obe-Ixx, the Ur-Vampire; her
ancient evil suffuses his soul. Holy magic targeting him is DC 18 to cast.
Vampire.
Must sleep in a coffin daily or loses 2d6 HP each day that can’t be
healed until resting in coffin. Takes 3d8 damage each round while in direct
sunlight. Cannot be killed unless pierced through heart with a wooden
stake while at 0 HP.
