Tactical Combat
I. Deployment
Opposed 1d20 + Order + number of Scout units
Ties deploy alternately, defender first.
II. Combat Round
1. Recovery checks for Shaken or Routed units
1d20 + Mo, 10 or greater to succeed
Routed units in the Reserve are removed from battle.
2. Initiative
Opposed 1d20 + Order
Turns alternate until one side or the other passes.
3. Movement
1 space per Mv
A unit must stop if it enters a space occupied by an enemy.
4. Ranged combat
1d20 + Ra, must exceed De to damage Ht
Must be orthogonally adjacent.
5. Melee combat
1d20 + Me, must exceed De to damage Ht (+2 if charging or flanking)
Opposed 1d20 + Mv to retreat before combat
6. Morale checks on units that took damage during combat
1d20 + Mo - Ht taken during entire battle, 10 or greater to succeed
Already Routed units that fail again are considered destroyed.
III. Determine Victor
Battle ends if all units on one side are destroyed, are in the Reserve, or surrender.
Losing units on Battle lines or in Reserve who cannot retreat are captured.
