UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS FOR
This brief instructions only work for owners of
The Orchestra Complete (version 1 & 2)
Please close all audio applications and Native Access before you begin
1. Download and Unpack
Sign in to your Best Service Account and download
all part#.rar files
of your
new library.
Please double-click (unpack)
only part1.rar,
all
others will be processed automatically.
Please use the following unpacking software:
Windows
-
https://www.7-zip.org
MacOS
-
https://www.keka.io
You successfully unpacked if you have a folder:
The Orchestra Complete 3 Library
2. Rename your existing Library Folder
In a first step, please rename you current library
folder by changing Library into Legacy
(see example on the left)
3. Upgrade (Assign new Library)
For users of Native Access (Version 2 or newer):
Open Native Access and search for
The Orchestra
Complete
under
INSTALLED.
Given you renamed the
old folder before, you should now see the product
name and the
Repair
button:
Please click on
Repair.
In the next dialogue click on
Relocate
and browse
for the new library folder.
The folder was correctly selected when you receive
the green
Successfully relocated
notification.
You can now close Native Access and open
Kontakt / Kontakt Player.
The upgrade was successful if you can now see the
new folder structure in Kontakt, including the new
main patch
The Orchestra Complete 3.nki.
For users of Native Access (Legacy)
Open Native Access and search for
The Orchestra Complete
under
INSTALLED
PRODUCTS.
Given you renamed the old folder before, you should now see the
product name and the
REPAIR
button:
Please click on
REPAIR.
Then click
RELOCATE.
In
the next dialogue BROWSE for the new library
folder. A last click on
RELOCATE
will assign the
new library folder and the Library is displayed as
FULL VERSION.
You can now close Native Access and open
Kontakt / Kontakt Player.
The upgrade was successful if you can now see the
new folder structure in Kontakt, including the new
main patch
The Orchestra Complete 3.nki.

3. Note about the version number in Native Access
If you are in the list view in Native Access, you will notice that even after a successful
upgrade, your version number does not change. Unfortunately, currently in Native
Access the version display does not work correctly.
In the following (optional) step we will show you how to change it anyway.
Windows
Please run the registry editor (press Win key and search for Regedit). Now follow the
file path to the Native Instruments folder:
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\
Now find the subfolder
The Orchestra Complete
here and delete it.
You can now start Native Access and add the library again.
Mac
On your Macintosh HD please follow this path:
Library/Preferences
Look for the file
com.native-instruments.The Orchestra Complete.plist
and delete it.
You can now start Native Access and add the library again.
