Introduction
The adventure can start in the village of Wishbone.
The adventure is set up so the Player Characters [PCs]
can encounter diverse types of situations and different
adventure styles, allowing for role-playing within a village,
meeting the locals, and getting involved in their lives, rural
situations with wandering monsters, and a dungeon/Deep
encounter. The module offers a chance for the GM to
immerse themselves and their players with as much or little
detail as they want to put in. Rolling countryside surrounds
the village for miles. Giving you, the GM, the opportunity to
fit the adventure into almost any setting within your game. I
have left the ending open, allowing the GM to slot in further
encounters or adventure twists to keep the game moving
but with enough happening to turn it into more than one
session if so desired.
The Plot
There are a few options for the plot:
1. The Inn keeper
Rowan Barrett
would like you to
retrieve a sealed wooden box that was under the
wagon driver’s seat. He will offer a good reward for
its return.
2. The local trader
Denny Ellis
will ask the PCs to
investigate where his wagons are. (GM why have
they not arrived on time? They have been ambushed
by a local Ethurin tribe).
3. The village Elder
Kris Chambers
will ask the PCs
to seek out the cause of:
a. The caravans have not arrived on time, are
they delayed, or have they been ambushed?
b. Rumors of monsters or bandits in the wood.
c. Three local youths have gone missing in the
wood.
Sammy, Rudy, and Eli.

4. The Miller
Bennie Miller,
the father of one of the
lost youths, will ask/plead with the PCs to find
them.
Local Area
A large wood dominates the area to the east, the remaining
areas are taken up with farmland, which surround the small
village. The main road has been well looked after, though it is
rutted and full of potholes from carts and caravans over the
years most of them have been filled, within a five-mile radius
of the village. When the rains come, the road is the easiest
way of travel. There is a local church and healing shrine,
Inn, Blacksmith, Baker, Miller, and Trader. Also, locals craft
candles, baskets, weaving and lots of knitting in the village.
There is a local market on a Wednesday where the farmers
come in from the outlying areas to trade.
The villagers are a little wary of strangers, but if the PCs are
friendly, they will warm up in time. The traders are happy
for any form of money to cross their hands, and the local
farmers market has a broad selection of wares.
