I
ntroduCtIon
No movement, No sound, barely a wisp of air. The village
appears empty, with no sign of struggle, no violent death,
in fact, no sign of the villagers at all.
All there appears to be is an empty space as if the people
were teleported away and, in their absence, in the time
they have been gone, strange shapes seem to have almost
sprung out of the ground.
Growing upwards getting bigger, the shapes are familiar,
but the size is wrong. Mushrooms just don’t grow that big.
6’, 8’, some as big as trees, almost blocking out the sun.
Multi-colored and grouped together around the village.
The strong earthy smell of growth is almost overpowering.
There is a mist filtering through the tree-sized mushrooms…
Welcome to the Infected Village. The adventure is set up so
the player characters (PC’s) can encounter different types
of situations and different styles of adventure, allowing for
role-playing within a village environment, rural situations
with wandering monsters, and a dungeon encounter with
new monsters. The module offers a chance for the GM to
immerse themselves and their players with as much or little
detail as they want to put in. Rolling countryside surrounds
the village for miles. Giving you the GM the opportunity to
fit the adventure into almost any setting within your game. I
have left the ending open, allowing the GM to slot in further
encounters or adventure twists to keep the game moving
but with enough happening to turn it into more than one
session if so desired.

lot
There are several options for the plot
1. This can be followed on from The DEEP adventure,
which I have published.
2. The PCs hear of a strange village where the locals
shamble around (not anymore, they have changed
into mushrooms by the time the PCs arrive)
3. They may have heard of a deserted village from
another village (rumor).
4. Asked by the local caravan master (Master
Rory
Moore)
to investigate a local village as he’s becoming
afraid about the prospect of continuing along the
road. There have been rumors of strange creatures
shambling around on his route. There have also
been no caravans coming back, and he would have
expected at least 2 by now.
Rolling hills and farmland surround the small village. The
main road is reasonably well cared for, and it is rutted, but
most of the potholes from carts and caravans have been filled
in over the years. When the rains come, the road turns into
a quagmire and is very difficult to traverse. Nevertheless,
there has been a reasonable amount of trade through this
area over the years.
